As soon as I found out my best friend, Kelsey was pregnant I started planning her baby shower! Kelsey is one of those friends that you find once in a lifetime. We have been through all of life's big adventures together. We went to high school together, we were each other's maid of honor and last year she threw Ella and me the sweetest baby shower! I am so excited for her and little baby Henry!
This shower came together exactly like I imagined! I was a little bit nervous because I knew I would be flying in just a couple of days before it so that didn't leave me much time to prepare! Thankfully I had help for two amazing friends! Amanda who set up the adorable onsie decorating station and Ericha who pretty much ran the shower! (I'm great with decorating - not so great with keeping up with a time-line). I wish I would have taken more pictures! I get so caught up in the moment that I totally forget about photos! I'm seriously the worst blogger ever! I promise there were people here!
My mom an I got all of the food and flowers at Cosco. That place is amazing! They had big beautiful flower arrangements for $15! I got three and ended up splitting them into smaller arrangements. I love how fresh flowers really takes decor to the next level and getting them already put together made it super easy! To be honest, I could have gotten by with two because we sent the new mom home with a huge bouquet that we didn't even use!
Now anyone that knows me knows that I love a good cheese plate. I especially love how easy it is to set up! I am not a chef by any means and this party called for something a little classier than my famous spaghetti from a can. It turned out beautifully and the guests really tore into it which is more than any hostess could ask for!
My mother in law is an amazing baker so I asked her to make a cake. She was not sure when I requested that the frosting look messy. It took some convincing but I am so glad because it turned out beautiful and delicious! Thanks Kay!
I made a very simple watermelon lemonade (literally just some watermelon juice and generic lemonade mixed together) to drink and provided my favorite Cupcake Moscato D'Asti for the non-preggo guests to spike it with!
I had a blast putting this together! and I am so so thrilled for Kelsey! Thanks for reading guys! Until next time!
