How to Wear Sneakers

Welcome to the very first post in a new series that I am starting! I've noticed the hashtag #momiform going around and I've even used it a few times! I wanted to get in and give my take on it since I am a frequent momiform wearer.
When I started sharing my outfits I knew that I wanted to help women stay up to date with trends but in a way that was actually wearable and didn't break the bank. Since we recently decided to start looking for a house I have made a commitment to myself not to buy any new clothes for the foreseeable future - trust me, I have enough - so from now on I'll be re-wearing and refashioning things that I already have! Wish me luck!
While I do enjoy getting dressed up every now and then I've always had a very casual style. I like to be comfortable and especially since I had Ella it's become essential that I am able to move around easily.
Sneakers are a great way to do just that and they can edge up a casual outfit if they're worn right. I found these Adidas Tubulars at an Adidas Outlet for $40 and guys I'm a little bit obsessed. My husband thinks they look like an armadillo but I don't care. I think they are super rad. I love to wear them with anything from leggings and oversized hoodies to dresses but my favorite way to style them is with jeans a basic tee like I did here.
The key to wearing sneakers with jeans without looking frumpy is to make sure that your ankle is exposed. This elongates the legs and makes your outfit look more intentional.
A great way to do this is to either cuff your jeans or you can simply cut off the hem and leave that raw edge that is trending right now (much to my short person delight) like I did to my Levi's Mile High Super Skinnies
(aka BEST JEANS EVER) + they're on sale right now!
So many people were asking about this sweater and bag when I posted this look on Instagram and unfortunately the sweater was thrifted but I linked up some similar options if you're as obsessed with it as I am! The bag was a Christmas present from my hubby (he knows me so well) and it's literally the best thing ever! It's so roomy and the handles are the perfect length so that it doesn't slip off of my shoulder! You can shop it here.
Thanks so much for stopping by you guys! If you want to see some more sneaker outfit inspiration you should check out this post and see how I styled these leopard slip ons!
