Happy Valentine's Day!

Hey ya'll! Happy Love Day everyone!

Today I wanted to share a little bit of my heart about Valentine's Day. I'm not a particularly romantic person. I tend to forget birthdays and anniversaries. I still get awkward and giggly when the hubs is trying to be sweet to me. I'm not big on huge romantic gestures (or so I'd love to have you believe) and I'm the worst

The cool thing is that none of that matters to my hubs. He remembers all the important dates, is persistently sweet to me no matter how awkward I act ( I secretly love it) and is just as happy as I am to snuggle up on the couch and watch Grey's Anatomy.

The most romantic thing of all though is that he has constantly supported me. From the day I decided to be a wedding planner to my brief stint as a jewelry maker to my even briefer stint as a website designer. Now that I really do feel like I've found what I'm supposed to be doing with this blog he is just as dedicated to being my rock and support system. He tells me how proud he is of me on a regular basis (and that is so so encouraging when it feels like I'm not actually where I want to be) and he is always available to be my photographer whenever the mood strikes me - which is often!

This week I decided that I wanted to take my blog to the next level and so he stepped up to the plate for me. He is currently on daddy duty on his day off so that I could step away and actually get some real work done.

So as we all get dressed up and go on our dates and exchange flowers and chocolates on this Day of Love I want you to remember that its the daily grind that counts. The being there when you're needed. The being dependable and the providing for your family.

Find the romance in the mundane because that's where the real life is.
