Greetings friends! I hope your week is off to an awesome start! I am personally having an awesome day because Ella slept all night for the first time in a really long time. Traveling with her is always a challenge because she really needs to be in her own room to get a good nights sleep but that can be difficult when you're mainly staying in hotels! Thankfully our current hotel has a massive bathroom so that is doubling as Ella's bedroom for the week! Do what you gotta do mommas!
I wanted to share our first day in London (well, technically it was our second day because I slept through the first day). Ella and I arrived on a Friday afternoon while Joey was still working. I was so proud of myself for navigating the train station and getting us to the Air B&B on my own! We stayed in a cute little apartment in Mayfair right next to Hyde Park and it was the perfect location!
We woke up Saturday as total tourist! Usually I like to find all of the places the locals love but since it was our first time in London we wanted to see as much of the sights as possible! We rode the tube to the Tower Bridge and then took a tour of the Tower of London and then waited in line to see the Crown Jewels! I have always found the history of monarchies interesting so I'm so glad we did the tour and learned about all of the different royals that stayed in the tower and all of the crazy scandals as well! We stopped for lunch at my new favorite place, Pret A Manger -Seriously, I'm obsessed. Why are there not more places like that in the U.S.?? (These do exist in a few places in the states but not nearly enough) and of course stopped at an ice cream truck to get a Cadbury 99 which is the best thing in the entire world. I've concluded that the food in Europe is 100% better than the food in America and we need to figure that one out because I never want to come home.
Side note: These pink velvet loafers are SO COMFY. I wore them all day walking around London with no problems. Also, they're on sale for under $40 and are linked below. You're welcome.
