This post is sponsored by Queen of the South and USA Network but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

If you know Joey and me, you know that we watch a lot of T.V. There is no shame in our binge watching game. We are always looking for fun new shows to watch. Our current obsession that we are trying to get through is Queen of the South! It has a Narcos vibe but the main character is a bad ass woman who claws her way to the top of the drug world. Joe gets his action packed excitement and I get my strong female lead. Win/win! You can binge watch the first season on Netflix and you can catch the second season on USA Network on Thursdays at 10/9c.

We also love to get our friends hooked so that we can all talk about our favorite moments when we get together. The best way to do that is to host a watch party!

I love gathering people together, especially when there are food and cocktails involved but I know that the idea of putting together a big party can be overwhelming. I'm a toddler mom. I need easy peasy. So to help you out I've put together a few tips to help make your watch party a success.

1. Keep it small

Invite just a few close friends. This doesn't have to be a big party. The less people the easier it is to stretch out on the couch.

2. Give it a theme (but keep it simple)

Everyone loves when the treats and drinks have fun names. but there's no need to get crazy. For our Queen of the South Party, we had Mexican Steaks -basically just regular steak topped with store bought (gasp!) pico de gallo and Whisky "Slayers" - a whisky sour topped with a blueberry because they look all moody as the juice runs.

3. Keep the decor simple

You may see a running theme here. As long as your house is clean your guest will be super impressed with you. Throw some fresh flowers in a vase and you're ready to party.

4. Have a separate space for kids to hang

Queen of the South is NOT a kid friendly show. Trying to work out babysitters for everyone can be a nightmare so I like to set up the kids with a movie of their own (Secret Life of Pets is on Netflix and is always a hit) and I check in on them regularly. That way they are entertained while you enjoy your party and nobody had to pay for a sitter.

That's all from me folks! Happy Binge-watching! Have you seen Queen of the South? What did you think!?
