This post was written by me on behalf of Kidizen. I was compensated for my honest opinions. I only ever promote brands that I 100% stand behind and truly love.
I get asked a lot about where I shop for Ella. Probably more so than I get asked about the clothes that I wear. One of the most asked questions is how can I afford to always have Ella in these adorable name brand clothes. The answer is going to be a total shocker: I totally can't - at least I can't afford to buy these things new. Almost everything I buy for Ella is secondhand. Occasionally I'll get lucky in the clearance section of Old Navy or TJ Maxx but 99.99 percent of the time her clothes are thrifted.
"But Tabitha! Where do you find the current, Fashionable stuff that's in GOOD CONDITION?? I've tried goodwill and all I seem to find are clothes with big ugly spit up stains that my grandma would have dressed my mom in!?"
Ya'll. Thrifting is not what it used to be. Most of the time when I'm shopping secondhand for Ella I don't even have to leave the house. What's my secret you ask??
Kidizen is an app on my phone where people buy and sell their children's clothes (Think Poshmark, but for little people). What I love about Kidizen is that unlike traditional thrifting where you have to go through a ton of junk to find that one diamond, you actually have a plethora of amazing items to choose from and they all cost a fraction of what you would pay retail.
To prove my point I teamed up with Kidizen to show you how easy it is to fill your baby's closet with adorable clothes. They gave me a budget of $100 and I'm going to show you what I got and what I would have paid if I were to buy them new!
H&M BAND TEE - $13 retail
RYLEE & CRU PLAYSUIT - $75 retail
JUNE & JANUARY STRIPED BLOOMERS -$17 retail
ADIDAS SUPERSTARS - $45 retail
VIVIE & ASH FLORAL BLOOMERS - $26 retail
OLD NAVY TANK & BLOOMER SET - $20 retail
Total Retail Value: $196 Total Kidizen Cost: $99
GUYS! That's a HUGE difference! The best part is that all of the clothes may as well have been brand new! They were clean and freshly steamed. None of the items had any stains at all. I was honestly blown away that everything was in such good condition!
I also want to address those of you that are looking at this list and thinking, "That's ALL you got for $100!?" Yes, and here's why. I went for quality over quantity. If you're looking to get as many items as you possibly can for your money, I get that and so does Kidizen, you will find a ton of Target, Carters, and OshKosh items listed on the app at rock bottom prices so don't fret!
Overall I was ecstatic with my choices and I couldn't wait for them to arrive. Ella has also been rocking all of the items on repeat since they came in!

Want to give it a shot!? You can download the app HERE but first check out my top tips for shopping the Kidizen app:
1. Keep the size filters turned on.
It helps streamline your searches so that you don't have to scroll through page after page of stuff that won't even fit your kid.
2. Use the Search Bar.
Search specifically for brands that you like. Chances are you will find something you love faster. Some of my favorites are Zara, Rylee & Cru, and Baby Gap.
3. Shop through closets.
If I find an item that I love I like to scroll through the sellers whole closet because there's a good chance they will have more similar items in there. It's also great to keep in mind that if you buy 2 or more items from the same closet, you will generally get a bundle discount which will save you even more money!
4. Keep what you already have in mind and think outside the box.
I like to buy sets and then mix and match the pieces to create several different outfits.
5. Don't buy something just because it's a great price.
This is really hard for me but also one of the most important. If you're not going to put it on your child, it's a waste of money no matter how cheap it is.
